3ds Max - Multiwindow Highlighting Vertices improvement suggestion. The overall idea is different viewports process different areas of the model.
-One viewport can process the whole picture.
-Other viewports could show the vertices or edges (only) that are zoomed by the first window that processes the whole picture. As we move in the first viewport, the second viewport will have its vertices disappearing and now appearing on the same exact location where the first viewport is currently focused.
Depending on the zoom level of the first viewport, more vertices or less will be shown. With zooming out, more vertices will be shown or vice versa with zooming in. Example below:
Pic. 1 and text with it: Top view - upper right shows or processes the whole picture
Right view - bottom left corner shows the vertices that are zoomed by the first viewport - top view - upper right.
Another usage of this: Top viewport shows or processes the whole picture and Back viewport/Upper left viewport shows only vertices. Its would be then easy to change the screen that processes the whole picture making it Top, Bottom, Left, Right, Back or Front and then do the rest of a job.
-Make an option that the two viewports can show only vertices or highlighted vertices. For instance.. starting to do the back of a car using the two viewports on the left side - Back and Right - and Top - Uppper Right can process the whole picture.
-Add the ability to hide edges that are not currently being zoomed in on. This hiding wouldn't have to be exact, but the idea behind it is to remove any edges obscuring the work area.
Here are some pictures of how it should work:
This would be a super helpful and useful addition to Max!
