While some may be on the edge of seeing VR more as an entertainment tool or a gimick when it comes to anything productive I see a lot of potential in VR being used in autodesk products.
For maya there is moculus http://moculus.io/ and Marui: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLMoDKwkW7E
but for max there is nothing by the looks of it.
I'd love a tool using openvr (making it compatible with most headsets) is available for max.. allowing for modeling in VR like so:

Why you may ask? For one sometimes it really helps an artist having a more physical/hands on approach working with sculptures and the VR controllers out there are very precise (I have the oculus rift + touch with 3rd sensor myself). Not just that but I think having the model right there in front of you provides no distractions for the user working and provides a wider/more full view.
I bet controls and plugins will be hard but I don't picture it as a full solution for everything but more or less as a tool for the basics (modeling and animation.
I hope autodesk will do more with this other then using it for products that have already gone through most of the production stage.
