Hello Studio!

A little more info would help:  What version are you running, what is your system.  A screen shot of the white box?

Is it specific to a view port (do you have your screen set to 4 views, three or one or other?)?

My first guess is either a hung-start up window, minimize then maximize your screen to see if it clears.

Next guess would be to confirm you have the latest video card drivers.

Next would be to check your resolution; try changing then changing back to see if it makes a difference.

Hope this helps,

Kenny

It's not the viewcube is it?

If it is, you can right-click on it, select "configure" and you'll get the menu shown in the image where you can change it's settings.

Yup, that's not the viewcube alright...
Looks like some geometry from that .rvt file (Revit?) to me, or does it stay in the same location when you zoom?
Have you tried hiding the ziggurat.rvt, anything change when doing so?

I'm still unfamiliar with a lot of 3DS Max, so if it's not something simple like that i hope the experienced people will chime in.

Hello @studio,

That does seem to resemble the artifacts I've seen when a graphics card is unsupported or uncertified.  Can you please let me know which graphics card you are currently using?  Does this same thing happen in DX9 mode?

Okay,

This screen shot helps.  Because it does not take up the full viewport, I am inclined to think this is an artifact from the RVT file that has been inserted.  You said you tried opening a new file; did you open a new blank file and see this white box, or did you open a new file and import the .rvt file again?

I would explore the RVT file and see if you can crop / select on the geometry you need to import.

Hope this helps,

Kenny

Hello @studio,

Unfortunately the card is unsupported/uncertified.  Emoticono triste   I know that's not great news.  You can find a list of supported graphics cards here.

The only method I know that might work is to try other display drivers in 3ds Max until you find one that might be supported such as Legacy d3d or something like it.
