Point cache problems

Hi my friend is having problems with Point Cache. They are saving out my character as Obj and Fbx from Maya and loading up the point cache in 3dsmax but the character hits a certain frame and looks all deformed. One leg shrinking.

The other oddity we tested it by bringing into Maya as and Obj or Fbx loading up the point cache it all works fine.

So why would 3dsmax not interpret the Point Cache correctly ???

The first things you should check is the systemUnits-settings in Max and the framerate the pointcache was recorded at - this should match the original conditions when the animation was recorded. If all is set up correctly you should check the vertexcount and vertexnumbering of the node in both applications - if they differ you need to check the export/import of the node and be sure that nothing screws up since PC relies on a consistent vertexnumbering... hope this helps you!

Cheers!

Wavestone you rule !!!!

It was the framerate that was screwing with the mesh, causing all wacky deformations.
