Hi,

First off - does your system meet the minimum requirements to run Max? System requirements for Autodesk 3ds Max 2018

Have searched for answers? Google keyword search

You can try resetting Max Reset Max

Hi @Anonymous 

This might be color theme related. You can try resetting your preferences as @Daf  suggested, but if you're concerned about losing user settings then you can try to restore the default color scheme. Under the "Customize" menu, go to the "Custom UI and defaults switcher" item. In that dialog, on the right hand side, select ame-dark and click "set". You will need to restart 3ds Max before the effects are fully applied.
