see the visibility option in this panel change them to lower probaly 0.0 u can see object u have been selected like wireframe.u can go to this panel by left clicking object and go object properties

See-Through option is completely different than changing the opacity. How do you make a plane transparent so that you can still see the plane to mold the working plane into the object on the pattern? Band-aide fixes are not fixes, please update your response with a valid response to help.

Just reviving this thread here. Whenever I've had to apply "blueprint" bitmaps to Planar objects to aid in modeling, I've tended to use the suggestions posted here -- apply a Standard (Legacy) material to the Planes, make it self-illuminated and adjust the opacity so I can see through it but still be able to discern the bitmap details for modeling. (Then for test renders, I usually turn off the Plane's render properties.)
