Hi all, I downloaded the Physx plugin from nvidia but cant seem to get it up and running, as soon as i start up max it says, "Error 126, pxplugin.dlm failed to initialise", i looked in the plugin folder and the file is there so why is it failing to start ??, i downloaded the latest drivers from nvidia and the physx sdk and installed them, i am using a gforce 6200 graphics card and 3ds max 2009, all the components of the plugin seem to be their in the utilites panel but when it just wont let me do anything with it. Any help apreciated, thank.

This a Max 2009 forum. If you have Max 9 you should post in the "Max through 2008" forum, or the Plugins forum. Does that plugin say it will work with Max 9?

Max 2016 (SP1/EXT1)
Win7Pro x64 (SP1). i5-3570K @ 4.4GHz, 8Gb Ram, DX11.
nVidia GTX760 (2GB) (Driver 430.86).

I apologise, has found this post through search. Yes, installer itself suggests to choose the version (9,2008,2009) and itself finds a path of 3D Max. The problem has solved, it was necessary to install the basic PhysX (PhysX_9.09.0814_SystemSoftware.exe).

Useful to know that it's not just a case of installing the plugin. Thanks for posting the solution.

Hey thanks COoo1d for the info on the exe file to install this plugin, i thought i would gice it one last try and i installed the file and it is working using my Geforce 6200 graphics card, seems much better than reactor as well, tried out the example tutorial in the user help files and there was no colision gap at all between the two objects, Looks like no need to upgrade my graphics card at all which is good news as my motherboard dont support PCI-E Cards.
