3Ds Max 2019 - Trying to modify files

Hi

Just installed the latest Autodesk 3Ds Max 2019 and experienced something new every time after closing the app. W10 gives me this warning..which is related to Protected Folders setting from W10.

I'm trying to figure out what 3dsmax.exe is trying to modify there.. in my case it's about these folders.

Accepted solution

@Secttor

Thanks for bringing your question to the forums! I'm wondering if you could add 3DS Max 2019 to the exclusions list in Windows 10, here is an article walking through how to do that.

I would recommend you check your file paths in 3DS Max by going to Customize>Configure System Paths and see if for some reason any of the paths are set up to the folders the Windows Defender is protecting.

Additionally, I would recommend resetting your 3DS Max user preferences back to default, here is an article walking through how to do so.

Keep me updated on how this goes!
