R2006 vanilla SDI =1
When opening drawings with a script,
the commands execute properly but the drawing itself in the grahics display window,
changes only every 4th or 5th file that the script opens.
I've tried regen, redraw, redrawall, update *acad* nothing seems to work.
is there a system setting or is this a version specific problem?
I had that issue with scripts also, and I was on '06 too. I don't see if as a problem though, as your script is just working so fast that the display doesn't have time to catch up. I think you will notice that the name of the drawing changes each time though, and I think that if you click off of Acad it will show the opening and closing of each drawing. I used to do that, and I think that is what happens, as I would have email or something up in my second monitor.
Try add
_delay 500
before of the very script block
just an idea? not tested
Thanks Tim.
Yeah, it's not that big of a deal as far as performance goes.
The only reason I asked is that I was having another user running some scripts and thought it would be better if he could "see" what was happening. I thought it might be a system setting or something. Oh well.
Thanks again.
Interestingly enough, adding delay and a regen helped the display problem.
But.... of coarse it slowed things down. 😞
We'll be upgrading to 2010 acad soon so I''ll just run it "as is".
Thanks!
You're quite welcome
I used it for years as well as with DBX 🙂
