Show Edges - control by category

Can we make the Model Display option to Show Edges a category option in visibility/graphics in the same way that displaying surface pattern is?

In other words, in V/G when overriding lines you would have a 'visible' tick box, just like patterns do.

Being able to turn off the edges for categories like planting in elevations would be very useful.

Surely Revit's graphics engine could cope with this?
