Doors to report Walls they are in.
I would like doors to include a parameter (locked) that displays the name of the wall type it resides in. This has scheduling & filtering implications that would greatly improve building regulation assessment for things like fire/acoustic door checking.

This is already there under the hood as "hosted" elements have a parent. It just needs to be exposed for ALL hosted elements. (Blast rated windows in exterior walls?)
There should also be the ability to pull the wall schedule information into the Door Schedule.
Really this should report the wall Type Mark (or have the option to do this as well).
Family and Types are great for keeping and finding your content, but it always bugs me when people use them for scheduling when that is the express purpose of Type Mark.
For example if you have a wall type that is identified as "EW1" for External Wall type 1. then EW1 is it's correct reference, however its not very obvious when searching the list of wall types during modelling, so to make it easier to find your type name may be EW1 - external cavity wall - brick - 375mm... but you wouldn't want to schedule that full description. The same goes for windows and doors, you often just want a short Window/Door type reference, but the family type to tell people what size the structural opening is.
So you put short reference (EW1) in the type mark and use that in schedules, and you can have the best of both worlds.
In ANY schedule of elements which can be hosted, in the "Fields" Tab, the "Select available fields from" pull down menu should include "HOST", which will list all hosts' parameters...:
(For host elements would be challenging to have a "Children" item, since there can be multiple children for any given host...).
PS: BTW, retrieving the host of an element is easily doable in Dynamo...

This really needs to be enabled. The full "All host parameters". More, we need to be able to tie parameters of the hosted element to parameters of the host element. Think: a door fire rating linked to the fire rating of the wall that it's hosted in. (which brings us to letting us, the end users, decide which built-in parameters are instance based vs type based instead of you, programmers that don't actually have to create anything from the programs that they're writing, making that decision because you guys are waaaaaaay too type happy).
Right now I have to write my own programming to extract information from a host and apply it to a hosted element. This should not be a requirement for something so basic.
