copy objects between families and projects

Hello, Autodesk.

A small improvement I would like to be included in future Revit versions is the posibility to copy objects easily between families and opened projects. This feature would allow all users to share reference objects and lines between families and projects, reducing time consumption.

The copy monitor tool has a similar utility, but it does not allow to copy some objects from a family, but the whole family itself. When a family has a lot of work, including Revit objects like floor, roofs, beams and other structural elements, copying them to a project requires to completely create them again from zero inside the project, when a simple copy-paste would do it in just a few seconds.

This is a very common task in any Operative System, which allows to share information such as graphics and text between different software packages, including AutoCAD.

Thanks for taking the time to submit your idea. Unfortunately, this idea did not get the support of the community over the last 6 months and as such we will not be pursuing it at this time. Please feel free to rework (titles and clear descriptions are really important) and resubmit this one down the road.
