Render pictures in 4K

Hello!

I want to render a bunch ofpictures in 4K, with around 300 render samples.

When I do it in HD 1920x1080 it takes just a few minutes, but in 4K almost half an hour.

Is there someway to speed this up? I still want good quality... but this feels to slow to be true?

Or is it my computer, with 30 GB RAM and "AMD Ryzen 5 3400G with Radeon Vega Graphics 3.70 GHz". Do i need to get better specs?

4K resolution should require pretty much 4 times as long as Full HD (usually less due to some coherency things). However in Preferences->Render Settings there is a setting called Framebuffer Memory Limit which might cause the image to render in smaller tiles which can take longer than expected. Especially when you render out with renderpasses it might happen that the default setting of 2 GByte is to low to render out the image at the full resolution in one go. Try to increase the setting to something higher like 8 GBytes or so and see if that helps.
