LeapMotion issue

Hello, I have seen the video in Youtube that Varjo VR-3 can support Leapmotion natively in VRED.

Could I use the other HMD plus Leapmotion to get the same result?

In the video, the Ultraleap Gemini, the fifth-generation leapmotion is used. Could I use the older ones?

If it possible, which version of VRED should I use?

Hi, you should be able to use leapmotion integration with the Vred 2020, not 2021.

Following this you should have all the information.

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/vred-products/learn-explore/caas/simplecontent/content/use-le...

I say "should" because the guide is very old and by now there is no support for leapmotion after Vred 2020 (2021 use python 3, and this is the problem)

Hi, i think hand tracking is supported only on the Varjo headsets. But i'm not 100% sure.

Hello.  I know NOTHING about VRED, but I asked about this question internally, and got this response.

Out of the box with our blue VR hands, yes that's right. Only Varjo! But it is possible to to implemented hand tracking on your own via python getting the tracking coordinates and do whatever you want but obvious requires programming knowledge.

And a video they linked to:

Good luck.  Let me know if this helps.

hello, thank you for your answer.
I have seen the video, that is really great work. But honestly that is beyond my current capability.
I have the opportunity to get a Varjo VR-2 Pro next month, which also Integrates Leap Motion.
Does Varjo VR-2 Pro also support the blue VR hands out of box? Or that is a feature only vor Varjo VR-3/XR-3?

Currently, hand tracking in VRED is only supported for Varjo VR-3 and XR-3 out of the box.
