Htc Vive Object Interaction / Change color or Texture

Hello Dear All,

First of all i would like to many thanks this guys for awesome script and autodesk community for helping:

I`m trying to interact with the object/objects. Aiming shooting (pull trigger and realease) exucuting pyhton command and object change material (color or texture) with vive controller.

I would like to know how to create a button and interaction with that. (viewports for example you can teleport yourself with aiming and shooting in the given script upper link!)

Can someone give me a script sample or tutorial for that purpose please?

Hello @Anonymous 

within the example scene you pointed to, you should see the buttons for changing the environment.

The button itself is just a touch Sensor that will execute the Variant Set that is linked to the Sensor.

Within the Vset, you can basically execute a Material Switch state.

So you can create a Material Switch for switching materials and then execute the Material Switch State within a Vset.

This is basically the same like switching the environment and you can use the environment Switch example in the provided scene.
