Help! Can't set custom render window size

Please remind me how to set a pixel by pixel viewing window size in the Render View.

I swear I've done this in previous windows and it worked fine.  I can't get it to work in 208.2 or 2018.3

Render > Render Window Size > User Preferences 

should listen to the dimensions you set in:

Edit > Preferences > Render Settings > Image (tab) > Image > Resolution,

right?  Did this change?  I have a long format image of a vehicle I need to load in as backdrop so I can match the camera angle.  Thanks.

Hi,

you need to go to Preferences->Render Options and turn on Use Fixed Resolution and set the Pixel Resolution you want.
