SSM custom fields only update when file is opened through SSM

I am the graphics coordinator for a project where we use custom fields for all of our sheet border information. We use JTB's SSMPropEditor for all of the updates. On my end, everything works perfectly. We have a couple users that will open drawings associated with the sheet set and they won't see the fields update in their files, UNLESS they open the drawings through SSM. If they open a drawing via File --> Open, the fields will not update. The user has tried a REGENALL, opening and closing AutoCAD, and restarting their machine. They still have the same issue. You shouldn't have to open drawings through SSM for the fields to update correctly. Am I missing something here?

Hello @sambremer

Thank you for being a part of the community, but most users are not familiar with JTB's SSMPropEditor custom product. I would reach out to JTB for support on this.

To be more clear, the problem does not associate with JTB's program but with SSM in general. I was just describing the workflow I was using.

Just a guess but .. are you sure FIELDEVAL and SSMSHEETSTATUS  on those computers is set the same as on your computer?

Yes none of the variables were ever changed throughout the process regarding FIEDEVAL and SSMSHEETSTATUS.

The only workaround I found is to Resave All Sheets through SSM. You can do this by right-clicking on the sheet set. You obviously just have to make sure the user is out of the drawings.

Even if you not have changed these values can you confirm what they are on one of the problematic machines?

SSMSHEETSTATUS , FIELDEVAL, SSMAUTOOPEN, SSMPOLLTIME

Is Offline Files setting turned off in Windows?
