I have lisp routines that allow me to slide text along an arc, but I am looking for one that will allow me to slide text/mtext along a line/polyline keeping the same offset distance from the line. Sometimes my dimesions come in on a line, but not where I want it so I want to be able to pick that dimension, click the line and slide it keeping the same distance from the line. And yes I know I can to a move from nearest on the line to nearest on the line where I want it, but I would love just a two click process instead of the move command. I have seen something like it before at an old company and it was just quicker. Any help is appreciated.
