Simpler way to ERASE Objects across mulitple Layout Tabs?

I am looking to erase (purge) objects across a series of layout tabs. For example keeping some objects (North Arrow, logo...etc.) while removing other objects from a series of layout tabs at one time. Using a sequence of SSX selections, -LAYOUT, and other traditional 'script' methods works fine but I am looking for a simplier way.

thoughts?

You can probably automate such steps, but it depends....  If, for example, they're all Blocks with known names, you can certainly automate finding them all, in all Layouts, and getting rid of them without actually getting into each Layout to do it.  If they're, say, Lines forming a drawing border or something, you could pretty easily automate getting rid of all Lines on a particular Layer anywhere, or all Lines in a particular Layout. or even all Lines on a particular Layer in a particular Layout.  But if you want to get rid of only some Lines, you would need to be able to spell out how to identify the right ones.  The possibilities are too numerous to suggest a generic approach.

A sample drawing with description of what you want to keep and get rid of would be helpful.

[By the way, since the word "purge" has a specific meaning in AutoCAD that is not synonymous with "erase," and under that meaning in connection with "objects" suggests that you may be talking only about Blocks, a clarification on whether that's the meaning you intended would be in order.]
