Simpler way to ERASE Objects across mulitple Layout Tabs?

I am looking to erase (purge) objects across a series of layout tabs. For example keeping some objects (North Arrow, logo...etc.) while removing other objects from a series of layout tabs at one time. Using a sequence of SSX selections, -LAYOUT, and other traditional 'script' methods works fine but I am looking for a simplier way.
