programing autocad add-in installation program

Hi

we are developing a commercial Autocad add-in for MEP engineering, 

the program consists of lisps and supporting files, 

I would like to know what to instruct the programmer to code in the setup.exe?

The target applications are AutoCAD 2018,2019 and 2020 (includes vertical AutoCAD)

If the source code is all AutoLisp, then maybe all you need is to compile everything into one .VLX file and have your acaddoc,lsp load it with every drawing.

That is a very interesting idea, If any one could please point us to the direction we should search to be able to do it.
