I have a little problem with mine DXF file generated by me. I have a some cross section with dimensions, but when I am trying to paste it from clippboard to AutoCAD, dimensions are not shown in block. After x+space on this object dimensions are where they schould be. I have wrote v2000 dxf generator by myself.

The file is in the attachment.

Cheers

I do not understand a word.

>but when I am trying to paste it from clippboard to AutoCAD

>, dimensions are not shown in block.

"from Clipboard" - ok, But how is came to the clipboard, from where? who is the source file? Source program?

and Why do you copy/paste it to AutoCAD?

If you paste it BACK TO THE SOURCE Program, is it works fine?

>After x+space"

You mean after applying EXPLODE command.

>After x+space" on this object dimensions are where they schould be. "

?

Sorry. But i missing some important details.

The problem is that, when I am copying that attached file from clippboard the dimensions are not present on the block. After EXPLODE command on that block, dimensions appears where they schould be.

Sorry, it make no sense (for me).

Again, slowly and more in detail:

1. when I am copying that attached file from clippboard"

I am sure you nor copying this FILE.. but the content

and i wrote " ok, But how is came to the clipboard, from where? who is the source file? Source program?"

How it comes into the clipboard? and from where?

2. "the dimensions are not present on the block."

Which Block???

3. "After EXPLODE command on that block, dimensions appears where they schould be"

Your target-file is the attached one? and the current content is after you used explode?

Please post the file BEFORE you use Xplode.

What method are you bringing the dxf file into your drawing.

Drag and Drop will insert it as a block.

Insert command will insert as  block unless you toggle to insert exploded.

DXFIN command will create a new drawing and it will be plain entities and no block definition.

Do you want to place it in a new drawing, existing drawing or insert it as a block or???
