Hello, AutoCAD often crashed when using the attached lisp to modify multiple drawings, especially more than 10 DWGs. I wonder if it can be fixed, thank you very much in advance.

I'm unable to get it to crash when running on even more than 10 dwgs.

Perhaps it's a graphics or ram memory issue on your end?

The way I've crashed out is when using the file selection gui:

Thank you so much for your kindness and reply. Normally no crashes in the middle stage. If I modify 10 DWGs, it can modify 2 or 3 DWGs, then crashed. I did not do it before at that point. I will test it now, thanks again.

I just tested it at that point, no crashe, many thanks.

FYI: I meant double click the white space during file selection window causes crash for me

Yes, double click white area, windows closed, but AutoCAD did not crash. I tested 5 DWGs, AutoCAD crashed. I am not sure DWG problem or AutoCAD settings. Could you please test these 5 DWGs? Thanks a lot!

I didn't encounter any crashes running all 5 dwgs testing in both AutoCAD 2020 & 2023.

What AutoCAD version are you running on?

If you have other computers available loaded with AutoCAD, perhaps try the same process on those to see if crash occurs.

I use AutoCAD 2021, maybe my AutoCAD setting has some problems, I just re-installed AutoCAD 2021, Raster Design, and a custom AutoCAD built-in App. Maybe the app caused the problem. How to avoid it? thanks a million.

you can try starting AutoCAD in safemode which will prevent anything from loading at startup:

Since you are experiencing the crash and I’m not, you should read that post and give it a try to see if that helps
