Missing LSP File, PGP edit not working

So my autocad commands stopped working - my pgp file has all the commands listed correctly.

I don't have an LSP file anywhere - I've checked multiple times.

I can't run "aliasedit" as a command, I can't go to 'Tools' and then edit my PGP file because it says it isn't referenced....

I've deleted everything autocad and re-installed it.

Super confused and frustrated.

At the AutoCAD command prompt, enter (findfile "ACAD.PGP") with the parentheses and quotes and hit Enter.

If it returns a file name with path, then that is the acad.pgp file that is being referenced.  Maybe you have been editing one in a different folder.  If that is the case, then you can copy the one you have been editing over the one that AutoCAD found.

If it returns nil, then it is not finding an ACAD.PGP file in the search path.  If that is the case, and you do have an ACAD.PGP file in another location, then either move (or copy) your ACAD.PGP file to one of AutoCAD's search paths, or add a search path to where your file is.  You can view and edit the search paths in the first item in the "Files" tab in the "Options" command.

My guess is that if ALIASEDIT is not working then you don't have Express Tools installed, which is likely since you have reinstalled.

I have never heard of that, but I did a search in this forum and found...

"LISP command not available'

In single drawing mode, when a drawing file is opened from the recent
history

in the File menu, LISP becomes unavailable. (See subject line)

I remember from A2000-02 that the fix was to make sure that "Display Layout
& Model tabs"

was checked. In 2004 this has no effect. Does anyone know how to make it
work?

I don't know how to prevent the problem, but on my system I can enter an
exclamation point character ("!") at the command line to restart the lisp
processor after the error occurs. 🙂

So I've tried both of those as well and it ended up not producing any different of a result... Yikes.

Is there any way to fix the express tools?

Okay! So I copied my PGP file to an already supported search path and moved it up in order and I'm now able to adjust my PGP file and my commands are all working.

When I went to "REINIT" it loaded message below. Almost there maybe?

It appears from your capture that you are running LT, in which case much of what I said doesn't apply.  For instance findfile is an AutoLisp function, and LT doesn't support AutoLisp.  There may not even be any Express Tools for LT.  I'm sorry but I dunno.

It looks like you had full AutoCAD before, but when you did re-install you grabbed the CD with AutoCAD LT.

That's like the time I wanted to drill a hole but found I was using only a screwdriver.

Actually, one night I had a dream that I was eating a giant marshmallow.  When I woke up in the morning my pillow was gone.
