Ribbon Menu & Updating A Panel

I swear I have looked high and low, watched videos, read books, scoured forums, help files. nothing has been a solution.

Ribbon menu. Simplified the ribbon menu has tabs, inside each tab you have panels, on the panels you have commands.

I have learned how to create a new panel, place commands and such on the panel. Next I add the new panel to a given tab.

Let us say I create a new panel named "My Favorites". On my favorites, I put my 6 favorite AutoCAD commands. I drag "My Favorites" panel onto the tab of my choice. I go to the tab, lo and behold, the panel "My Favorites: is on the tab exactly as I expected. My 6 favorite commands appear exactly as I like and they work perfectly.

I am a happy CAD drafter. A week later, I decide I have 7 favorite commands. I go to the CUI, I find "My Favorites" panel, I add command #7 to the panel. When I look at the CUI -> Ribbon -> Panels -> My Favorites, I see what I want, 7 wonderful and useful AutoCAD commands.

When I go to the ribbon and select the appropriate tab, I see "My Favorites" panel, but it shows just my original 6 commands. What is the easiest and/or best way to push the new version of "My Favorites" panel up and into the working ribbon menu?

Here we go boys and girls. I found the answer to my own question. The significant part of the solution is to understand I am a chowderhead.

When you update a panel, YES! it does ripple though all the instances it is used in the menu.

Where did I fail? When I updated my panel, I put the new command on a slide out level. When you look at the panel in the CUI, the slide out is exposed. I overlooked this fact. When I looked at the updated ribbon menu, I failed to slide out the tab and thus concluded panel did not get updated.

OY!
