LT2024 - Draw custom hatch pattern and save as .pat

Hi,

Is there a lisp where I can draw a custom pattern (using lines etc) with in a rectangle or square and then save that area as a .pat (maybe to a folder on desktop)

I could then select the newly created .pat and use it to fill other areas of the drawing.

Thanks in advance for any input

kind regards

Paul

For a fee, if you don't find anything free.  Search for HATCHKIT.  If you do it a lot, it may be worth the cost.  Or, learn how to define them yourself.  Depending on the nature of the pattern, it may not be difficult.

Maybe post a image of what your hatch looks like and why you need to create on the fly. There is a lot of patterns out there.

There's a free HatchMaker routine at the Cadalyst CAD Tips site, which for some reason is no longer downloadable from there, but I found a message that includes it, >here<.  Don't copy the message-content version [emoticons problem, not to mention no indentations], but use the attachment.  I haven't tried it.

EDIT:  Now I have.  It does have its limitations [draw pattern in a 1x1 square only, on a 0.01 grid only], but it actually works.

[For what it's worth, I have contacted Cadalyst about the fact that CAD Tips download links are not working, and they have replied that this is not intentional, and they're working on fixing it.]
