How to correct/over-ride Renegade alias?

In my acad.pgp file, 'F" invokes Fillet. Yet, when I enter 'F' on the command line, I get "Select object on layer to freeze".

I have searched unsuccessfully to find where in the code, this other shortcut for 'F' resides. I suspect it is in one of the applications/extensions for AutoCAD Mechanical that loads on start-up. It is annoying to alter my habits for this anomaly. Any advice will be extremely well-received. Thx!

Dear Shneuph,

I apologize if I was discounting your idea….no offense intended….

I did check the alternate AcadSynonymsGlobalDB.pgp file where synonyms reside.

(I had one remaining after removing AutoCAD 2017 and dummying down to the corporate-sanctioned AutoCAD Mechanical 2013).

In it, the only reference to ‘Fillet’ was a synonym of ‘Round’, nothing regarding ‘F’ or ‘LayFrz’, having to do with my specific problem.

Also, I tediously examined all files ending in .pgp. There was no countermanding definition for the single keystroke "F".

Regards,

Thanks one-and-all for your suggestions.

I have found the varmint lying in an element of the Archibus Smart Client Extension for AutoCAD.

In "afm_layers.lsp" was exactly the offending line of code that John had originally suggested I find.

Sure enuff, after removing that renegade line, the acad.pgp file functions perfectly.

I can finally bring the bloodhounds back into the barn.

Grateful for all the professional, patient and kind help, folks,
