hideselectedinvp for autocad

Does "hideselectedinvp" only available for Fabrication CAD and not in Autocad? whenever I am using hideselectedinvp in autocad it is responding "unknown command".. Is there any way to use it in Autocad?

What you can do in plain Acad.
Use one extra layer for this object,
Set layer propertie inside your viewport : VP FREEZE

I'm having the same issue, i already have hundreds' of layers in Acad and i prefer to use this command, why is it missing and how can i have it please?
