File Name in a Dynamic Label View Block

Is there a way to include the root filename for a "view" placed through the Sheet Set Manager? I have my root detail file, with a saved view named "Concrete Paving-6 Inch." The file name is "d-concrete paving-pedestrian." If i use the current filename field place holder in my dymanic view block, it only gives me the file name of the page i place the detail onto, in this case "Hardscape Details."

Any thoughts?

Hi trimbla,

If you were xref'ing in the drawings you might be able to use a diesel expression to get the file name of each xref. Is this something worth exploring?  Otherwise, the drawings once inserted are blocks. Perhaps you could concoct a lisp routine to get the name and view from the block table.

If you want better solutions than I can offer, would you like to move the post to the customization forum?
