convert attributes to plain text

R14,

I a have drawing which contains room tag blocks. The text shows when in model space but does not show in any viewports.

Had this problem before - we ran appload for a LSP file att2txt.lsp...and it worked fine. But in a new file I have gotten - it does not work.

I reloaded the file and even put it in the start-up briefcase. Still no luck. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Most likely cause is that the attributes are annotative and that your  viewport is not to scale and has annoallvisible off.  Check you annotative scaling settings before doing anything drastic.

Less likely is that you have the attribute layer off in the viewport (as an override).

Post the drawing.

PS:  What is R14?  is it release 14 or AutoCAD 2014 or something else?

Thanks for your help, I really appreciated the response.

While checking all those things I realized that it really helps to actually RUN the lsp! Doh.
