my concern is related to the CHOFFSETS.LSP. while using this lisp it does not provide information of more than 150 points selected when asked for selecting points. while for short length  of about 200 mtr this point count go up to 230 points. but in any case it does not exceed 230 number of points. I have tried to analyse the lisp program but not able to figure out anything as i do not have much knowledge of the language used in lisp programming. I am looking for the results of any number of points with out any constraint on length of polyline(say about 5000 points over the length of 34000 mtr polyline).

Can you add the .LSP?

Have you tried contact the author? I would surprise if anyone would want to dig into such complex routine.

@Anonymous Google "choffsets.lsp", see the second link... "giles..."

In the fact, LSP file of that name doesn't exist, it's a part of chainage.lsp...

Yep. that's the one.

Written for & tested on CorelCAD... (presumed to work on AutoCAD by author)

The code is available for download there, and it's a huge file.

TS can try to contact the author there (see bottom of page) but it's been almost 3 years since last update & 2,5 for the webpage. (so you might not get a response)

I HAVE ATTACHED A LISP WITH NAME "CHAINAGE.LSP". THIS CONTAINS THE "CHOFFSETS" WITH IN IT ALONG WITH ITS SUPPORTIVE SUPPORTIVE PROGRAMMING. YOU JEST NEED TO LOAD THIS LISP AND WRITE A COMMAND "CHOFFSETS". THEN FOLLOW THE ROUTINE OF COMMAND. I HOPE TO SEE YOUR REPLY SOON. THANKS IN ADVANCE

We are helping by saying you should first try to contact the original author of the code.

If anyone understands the code and can help you, its the one who wrote it in the first place.

If he's unable, unwilling or unreachable somebody here might be able to help you, but thats not so easy.

Thats why your best bet to get a solution to your problem is to contact the codes creator: Giles Darling

His original chainage.lsp can be found here.

Sir, with due respect. trailing posts itself mention that author is not reachable and contactable. as correctly said by you, i would also prefer to ask from him as he will best approach for the solution. since i am writing to you clarify that i was not able to get any revert from him.

i would have appreciated if instead of writing this advice to me considering me to be mature enough to contact the author first, you would have worked out with solution to my concern.

People switch to seek help from other when they fail to get it from the core provider(here is the author)

thank you. have great day
