Here's the most difficult challenge ever! Well, it would be to me if I tried to figure out how to do it...
After dimensioning a solid in 3d, when the solid is modified:
Dimensions move along and behave as expected except when the change involves the Z Direction (in relation to the dimension objects). In that case, the dimension's anchor points DO move, but the rest of the dimension object's components remain in the Z location where it was created.
Please see attached drawing. There are several copies of the source object with various mods to the solid to show the effect. You also get the same effect by simply moving the solid object. Select a dimension that looks out of place and you will see the anchor points have moved with the object, but the all the other components got left in their original position.
Since the dimension objects' components obviously don't follow the Z of the anchor points, is it possible to reset them to match the Z of the anchor points (or at least anchor #1) with Lisp? For all I know, it might involve some automated remake of the dimension? Asking the experts here!
Thanks,
Mark
