How can I change the Color or Layer of a MDT Part ?

The McadApplication Obects do not allow you to manipulate or query the Color
or Layer properties of Parts.

Is there any way to reference a Block Definition that represents the part
given the Component Definition.

At times it seems that the implementation of VBA with regards to MDT was
applied without foresight.

Will this problem be addressed with MDT6.0 ?
