Hi Matthias,

I am curious that we might overdo it in stretching the major purpose and benefit of VDS. Can you explain a use case and example of adding these subcommands (I am guessing that menu items should allow calling custom commands)?

in my use case I've nine different jobtypes:

• released (PDF, DXF, STEP)
• prototype (PDF, DXF, STEP)
• draft (PDF, DXF, STEP)

So I need to define three dropdown menus so solve this today in the "Menudefinitions.xml" file.

Here is part of my "Menudefinitions.xml" file.

If I try to do this there with one dropdown menu item, and the others inside there, the item doesn't appear in the dropdown menu inside VDSV if click on a file -> right click.

That's just one an use case that I know so far, but I think there will be some more.
