Vault Data Standard for Inventor: Use UDPs as Displayname instead of iProperties

Hi,

In my opinion it would be very helpful when we have in Vault Data Standard  for Inventor (VDSI) in the DynamicPropertyGrid the Vault Properties as Displayname instead of the Inventor iProperties.

For custom iProperties I know, I can overright it in the UIStrings.xml from VDS but what can I do with Inventor System iProperties for example the Part Number, Description,...? I think other users they was coming from Productstream Professional (PSP), know about what I mean. There was the possibility to use any Displayname to fill out the datasheet from PSP, Inventor or AutoCAD, and was easy to configure as today.

I hope this will be in a coming Version of VDS, or is there any possiblity to use it today @Markus.Koechl?

Hi Matthias,

VDS for CAD uses the CAD files properties as the early versions (2014, 2015) allowed offline workflows. Your suggestion make sense as we enforce the connection to Vault but I also see good reasons to leave it as is. Let's see how the community reacts to your proposal.
