Vault CopyDesign Rule Sets

There should be a way to edit the CopyDesign rule sets during a copy process via API. Gladly as pre/post/restriction

Thank you for posting the idea. Why would you be changing the Rule sets via API?

What problem are you trying to solve?

It is currently not possible to change the RuleSet based on certain prerequisites. For example, if X is fulfilled, change the RuleSet so and so. Or issue a restriction because files may not be copied according to scheme X, for example.

For this example, why don't you have a rule inside of the active ruleset for this file?

Hi, having an API for Copy Design or make it accessible in the Vault SDK would be highly appreciated. Then we could eliminate our custom implementation of the whole copy/reference update process and just create a customized dialog based on Copy Design. 

Examples: 

• Set the target numbering scheme based on the user's (active directory) group.
• Set the target folder based on...

Whenever we try to rule out our customisation, users go to the barricades, telling me their number of clicks will dramatically increase.
