Vault 2022 Thin Client ITEM Details Bill of Materials
Not a new idea. Autodesk Product Team should bring back the Thin Client ITEM Details Bill of Materials. Vault 2022 Thin Client version missing ITEM Details BOM features. Thin Client BOM feature identical to Thick Client feature was and will be useful for our internal collaboration processes.
Yes this needs to be and is a valuable feature for those employees who don't have a need for a full vault license but do need access to the information. It was nice having it on 2020 and just recently upgraded or so I thought and we lost a feature not a good look for Autodesk to remove necessary items.
My company just invested in Vault for possibility of using its thin client on every CNC machine station for drawing supervision. Removing this feature removed feature we wanted mostly in Vault package.
We just upgraded to the 2022 version and discovered this issue. If we had been made aware of the lack of a BOM, we would have delayed the upgrade. Access to this information is crucial to our manufacturing department. Please put this as one of your highest priorities to get fixed!
Any update when Item BOM's will be available? We just upgraded over the weekend and didn't realize this feature was removed. We would have stayed with 2020 until it was added back in. This is going to cause some major issues for our manufacturing facilities.
I'm pretty sure this is an essential feature for a lot of customers, it would have been nice if Autodesk had clearly pointed this out in advance. Please add this as soon as possible. Thanks!

I'm being asked by my superiors when this will be implemented? They are not satisfied with answers like "Look for the Beta program" or "It will be available in a future update". They want to know when this former feature will be back in the current product!
@Ronald_Moore I completely understand. This feature is already available for Beta Testing in Feedback portal. My request is, please get this tested in the Beta to make sure if that is what you are looking for. That will help us in determining whether we can release this or not. So the release date is dependent on the feedback from the Beta testing. Hope that helps.
