This can be new feature added to Autodesk Vault

Drawing Checklist can be attached to a lifecycle, where in if a lifecycle is promoted a checklist is poped up, the user ticks on relevant items and promotes the lifecycle. This in turn would publish a checklist pdf. The Check list Template should be configurable through word document. and should be customisable through either data standards or simpler api's

Can you give examples of what would be in the Checklist?

That would be something specific to the company. In our case there are about 11 checklist between 3 categories.

Each checklist has a different set of line items, varying for checking of layer names, to drawing note to be added to the drawing.

Would these items that need a sign-off be better done as a custom property in the drawing? Then with the lifecycle, you could look for property compliance before allowing the file to go to the next lifecycle state.
