Tracking shared view conversations

I have just been playing around with the Shared Views feature in Vault 2019, i think it would be an awesome feature if you could store and track the conversations that happen in Shared Views.

If you are putting your file up on shared views for reviewal from a contractor, supplier or customer, it would be extremely beneficial if you could track and store those conversations in the form of versions or design changes in Vault, even if you could export the conversation and attached as a kind of markup.

Anwender wünschen sich, dass der Kommunikationsverlauf einer “freigegeben Ansicht” “revisionssicher” dokumentiert werden kann.

Anforderung ist, wenn z.B. mit externem Partner über Änderungen diskutiert wird, dass diese Anforderungen / Vereinbarungen auch nach Ablauf der 30 Tage Frist nachvollziehbar (dokumentiert) bleiben. z.B. in Form einer PDF oder als ZIP File

Hi Ian and Uwe,

within Autodesk Viewer we introduce a new capability to store all communications that happen for a specific shared view. Use Export Command. This will capture scene and comments in a PDF which can than manually attached in Vault to the corresponding design or ECO. Does this help?

Yes that would be helpful, i have not yet tested the functionality but i will test and let you know
