Thin Client -- Scroll to change sheets when viewing .idw

Thin Client -- Scroll to change sheets when viewing .idw

Instead of having to pick each sheet from the Document Browser when viewing multi-sheet idw, something like any PDF viewer where continuous scrolling through sheets is available. Or single page scrolling, but scrolling regardless will move you sheet to sheet. This would prevent the scroll wheel from being used as zoom, but there are ways around that (Ctrl + Scroll to zoom).

My shop floor guys are making good use of Thin Client but the muscle memory of being able to freely scroll through a drawing when saved as a PDF is hard to forget.

Actually, that is a problem of the Viewer.

@ihayes: Can you forward this?

Agree; using the Document Browser is not a great way to switch sheets.  This suggestion doesn't necessarily even have to be scrolling to the next sheet; it would be convenient to just have some arrows to move from sheet to sheet, just like it is in the View tab in the thick client.

Now the full-blown version (2023) doesn't have the arrows to go to the next or previous page. What were they thinking? Please bring that back!

Currently having the same problem. The 2023 interface still doesn't have the arrow feature to change sheets. It's really annoying to have a boxed window covering most of the screen when you have to quickly scroll between sheets and check each one. Please bring it back

Please Autodesk add some type of button to change sheets in the previewer like Vault 2022 and before. My company is now starting to use Vault 2024, and it is very frustrating to navigate the document browser (which takes up half the screen), when you have 5+ views per sheet. Its long and not intuitive to use at all.

The change of the document browser in Vault 2023/2024, is not easy to use. It is large, overlays on top of the drawing preview and when you have a large number of views per sheet, the list is extremely long. This makes it a chore to try to change sheets in a multiple sheet .dwg file. Please bring back a simple option like Vault 2022 had, to quickly change sheets. Changing sheets is by far the most common thing done when viewing previews (on multiple sheet .dwgs), not zooming in on Section "A-A" on the drawing (which the document browser allows you to do).

Agree with all the previous comments. The view in Vault 2024 is not intuitive. We would like to be eliminating button clicks as much as possible. To navigate sheets, you have to open this panel, click the sheet, and then the panel doesn't even close after you clicked the view you want do you have to click it again! Please add better sheet navigating to the viewer. We have multiple departments that use this daily that will be affected. Thank you.

Easier navigation of sheets in Vault browser would be phenomenal.

When viewing DWG files with multiple sheets it would be very helpful to be able to easily traverse the sheets without having to open the document browser. It opens directly over the drawing and then the menu tree is fully expanded. making it very cumbersome to work with. This document browser should automatically come up to the side and be collapsed for ease of traversing the sheets.
