The option to export and import administrative Vault settings.

We use several vaults in the company. 2 of them serve as test and development vaults. If we now want to transfer successfully tested solutions to our production vault, the settings have to be transferred manually (as far as I know). I would like to have a function that makes it possible to export administrative settings. For example, the “Behaviors” with lifecycles and properties settings. However, the export should not contain all settings, but offer a selection option to say whether lifecycles, properties, rules, etc. should be saved. This export can then be used as an import for another vault.

In the development vault, this functionality would also have a kind of backup, restore function, so that you do not have to document every setting adjustment manually.

Have you tried the Import/Export Configuration feature available in the ADMS Console?

Thanks for the quick reply. No, I haven't personally used the ADMS function yet.

A brief explanation. In our company, people with different authorizations configure and test in the Vault. For example, I personally have access to the Vault Client with admin rights so that I can make some settings. But access to the ADMS is the responsibility of someone else.

For example, if I need to create and test new property mappings, the Vault Client access is sufficient for me. Depending on the test result, the settings have to be reset or transferred to another Vault, which is currently only possible for me manually in the Vault Client environment. I would therefore like to have an export/import function. So that I am not dependent on my colleagues who have ADMS access.
