Kopieren inkl. Zeichnung - Dateiendung ändern

Hallo Zusammen,

es wäre gut, wenn man im VDS beim Kopieren inkl. Zeichnung die Dateiendung ändern könnte. Also wenn z.B. ein Modell mit einer Inventor DWG als Zeichnungsableitung kopiert wird, diese dann als IDW kopieren und umgekehrt. Vieleicht auch als Einstellung im copymode...

@H_MERTENS Copy Design or Vault Data Standards are not designed to perform file conversions. File conversions should be done in the authoring tool, Inventor, instead of Vault. Inventor Task Scheduler has a command to convert a IDW to a DWG or vice versa.

@ihayesjr I can't find the vice versa of IDW to DWG in the Task Scheduler. But my suggestion would do the save command in Inventor via VDS. So it would be possible is we could just edit the whole new document name of the new drawing. At the moment we can only give it a new name with the same extension. If we had a new boolean that says same ending or other ending (dwg to dwg or dwg to idw or idw to dwg), just by giving true or false, that would be great. This would only be in the CAD part of VDS.

@H_MERTENS Inside of Inventor, you should use the Save As command to execute the conversion.
