Files should not remain “checked out” by the job processor user when standard Autodesk jobs fail

Hello,

Sometimes files remain “checked out” by the job processor user when standard Autodesk jobs fail with an error message. This leads to a blocking situation for end users who do not have permission to undo the “check out” or remove the “reservation” for the file in question. End users cannot continue their daily work.

Examples of standard Autodesk tasks where this problem occurs:

  • autodesk.vault.syncproperties (Sync properties failed for the following files:
*.dwg: Sync properties not allowed on non-tip versions)
  • autodesk.vauklt.updaterevisionblock.*
  • ...

It would be better to "rollback" the the check-out of the file in question in case of an error. Or at least have the choice between the 2 workflows.
