Dropdown/checkbox functionality for Custom Jobs in Lifecycle Transitions

Dropdown/checkbox functionality for Custom Jobs in Lifecycle Transitions

Hi,

Since Vault 2018 (if I'm right) we have the functionality to assign Job(s) to Lifecycle Transitions directly.

When create/edit Lifecycles there is no dropdown or checkbox functionality to take one or more available Jobs to assign it to the Lifecycle.

If you don't no the exactly name of the Job(s), or make a mistake to it, the Job(s) will not run that you assigned to the Lifecycle Transition.

I haven't found any previous idea for this request, so please merge it together, when there is any similar to my idea.

Many thanks,

Kind regards,

@mschindler-mum ,

The only drop-down list for out of the box jobs for the Job Processor is in the Actions tab and starts with the option "Synchronize properties using Job Server." This is found in the Help topic online.

If you are talking about Custom Jobs, this was never a drop-down list of Jobs, the administrator always had to type in the Custom Job name in the Custom Job Types tab.

Please explain if this is not what you are referring too.

Hi @ihayesjr,

sorry for my late reply.

I mean this like here, I created a picture and with my experience of programming it should be easly to implement.:)

As far as I know, there is no central registry of jobs, so the server does not know which job types are available.

I agree it would be nice to just click it, disagree on the feature beeing easy to implement 😉
