Data Standard for AutoCAD generel

Data Standard for AutoCAD generel

Hi,

please let me uninstall or disable the Vault Data Standard installation for AutoCAD within the AutoCAD installation. What's even better is that you can choose Inventor, or AutoCAD, or Vault or all of them. As it was possible in previous Data Standard versions

I moved your post from the Ideas board to the discussion forum as you can already do what you are asking.

If you don't want to install Data Standard at all, make sure in the installation that the Vault Data Standard option is not checked.

If you are creating a deployment image, make sure that you uncheck the box for Vault Data Standard.

If you want to remove it from Inventor, you have two options.

  1. After logging into Vault in the Inventor Add-in, you can click the Unload button in the Vault Ribbon.

  2. In the Inventor Add-in Manager, you can unload and turn off the Load Autmatically options.

In AutoCAD, you can click the Disable button in the Data Standard ribbon.

Hi,

@ihayesjr that's not what I asked. When installing Data Standard, I want to be able to choose whether I want to install it for Inventor and or AutoCAD.
This was possible in earlier versions of the Data Standard Installation.
Your explanation is correct and has been known for a long time. But how do you do that with 30 or more clients if you don't want a data standard for AutoCAD? Manually deleting the known folder on 30 clients is not effective. And yes, you can switch off additional modules in the Inventor, but it's not professional to do it like that.

Thank you for the clarification. What if we allowed you to push the enablement down to the add-ins from the server. Would that be okay?

Hi,

everything is better than now.
But you always have to remember that it affects workgroups with weak installations
and the administrator shouldn't necessarily have that much work
