Copy and Paste from Rename Dialog

When doing mass property updates I copy and paste from the columns and do any needed rework in Excel. Then I copy and past the entire column back into the Update Property wizard. It would be nice to be able to do this from the Rename dialog as well. If I could select the entire New Name column I could do any needed rework in Excel and then paste back into the column.

Note that I'm using Excel for more than a find and replace. A find and replace in the dialog would be nice as well but that's already a wish list item.

We do have Find and Replce in the Rename wizard - http://autode.sk/1M681cm. will that help?

Thank you for pointing that out. In this case it doesn't help me. When doing mass Part Number updates, I can copy the entire column and paste it into Excel. Then using VLOOKUP I can find the proper "new" part  number and create a new column. Then the entire column is copy and pasted back into the Update Properties dialog.

However with the Rename dialog I can only copy a single cell at a time.

I have been getting around it by running an external macro that copies, alt tabs to Excel, Pastes, goes over to the VLOOKUP cell, copies, alt tabs back to Vault, Pastes, Then drops down and repeats the process. The last time I ran this, the loop ran over 2,500 times (in batches of 500). Serious time saver. But still much slower than grabbing the entire column at once.
