Copy an entire folder including everything inside

Duplicate the entire folder—including all subfolders, the top-level assembly, subassemblies, parts, and drawings—preserving all links, while excluding any files referenced by the assemblies that are stored outside the folder. basically, copying top-level assembly to another folder with linking out of the folder parts (like content center).

Thank you for creating the idea. Can you tell me why you are copying the entire folder and its contents instead of reusing the designs? Are you intentionally creating duplicate files?

Hi, basically we want to duplicate a Main-assembly that we already produced and edit it for re-production with some changes.

we are producing a few kinds of custom machines. every machine of the same kind is different by one or more subassemblies.

when we start a new machine, we want to copy the entire Main-assembly of the prototype including the folders, subassemblies, parts, and drawings (without copying content center parts but keep them linked). then, edit the subassemblies we need in the new machine.

Thank you for the details. If you are copying the main assembly and its components, the Copy Design feature can do this for you and place the files in the new folder, including keeping the existing folder structure in the new location.

Yes, I need to make all my custom content center files to the library for not duplicate them. I found this option now, and we will follow it for now.

thank you.
