Clarifying Larger Icon Mode

Clarifying Larger Icon Mode

Hi There,

I use the same names for parts aand assemblies when doing sheet metal parts, for example, "folded metal" + "folded metal with PEM inserts fitted" which would be an assembly. both would be "metalpart.ipt" and "metalpart.asm".

The problem is in Vault the "Large Icon" view mode does not differentiate between the two.

One is an .ipt and one is an .asm, Maybe put an "P" or an "A" in the corners of the icons?

Many thanks

Thanks for the idea. What if we placed the file icon in one of the corners, would that be acceptable?

That sounds good! I do have the same issue with opening a file directly in inventor too, where if you view the open window explorer in Large Icon mode (like I always do), you do get a nice "I" logo in the RHS corner but nothing to differentiate .ipt/.asm etc.
Thanks
