Depending on security settings, checkout status etc it is usually possible to change a File or Item to a different Lifecycle Definition. But currently this cannot be done whilst keeping it at the same Lifecycle State.
I am requesting the ability to change the Lifecycle Definition and have the option to keep the Lifecycle State the same.
This would presumably require the new Lifecycle Definition to have that same State already set up.
e.g. if something is in the Released State, I would like to keep it at Released and not have to send it back through the release workflow!
