When a part/assembly is been deleted via VAULT a probably existing local copy is not been deleted. This results two issues:
- In case of placing a content center file the Inventor workflow first looks for the local copy of an ordered part and would place the still existing (or injected) copy of a deleted part. When the content center family template has been changed since deleting the file via VAULT the ‘old’ version of this content center file will be used and checked in without any noticing by the user. This could lead to inconsistent data.
Furthermore this could be a way to inject iLogic code into a content center part by placing a contaminated content center part in the local copy folder! In my eyes that's a security vulnerability. - When a part/assembly is created with the same file name afterwards a pop up message ‘file already exists’ could lead to some confusion.
